Quickstart

      # First extraction in four steps

      Create an account, grab a token, extract comments from a public URL, then export JSON.

      ## 1. Create an account

      Open [commenthunter.click/login](/login). Free accounts include starter credits. Store secrets as environment variables. Never put keys in prompts, client-side public repos, or webhook payloads you do not control.

      ## 2. Get a Bearer token

      REST calls use the Supabase project:

        - Base: `https://jdstzpeukxcxxnodvess.supabase.co/functions/v1`

        - `apikey` header: the project anon/publishable key

        - `Authorization: Bearer`: user access JWT from sign-in (preferred; deducts that user's credits). For unauthenticated tests, the anon key may be passed as Bearer as well, subject to anonymous limits.

      After email or Google sign-in, the browser stores a Supabase session. Copy `access_token` from the session for agent use, or sign in via `POST /auth/v1/token?grant_type=password`.

      ## 3. Extract comments

      `curl "https://jdstzpeukxcxxnodvess.supabase.co/functions/v1/extract-comments" \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer $COMMENTHUNTER_USER_JWT" \
  --header "apikey: $COMMENTHUNTER_ANON_KEY" \
  --header "Content-Type: application/json" \
  --data '{
    "urls": ["https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ"],
    "limit": 50,
    "includeReplies": true
  }'`
      Success returns `comments`, `topLevelCount`, `creditsUsed`, and optional `partial` if the job is still collecting. Failures return `errorCode` and `errorMessage` — see [Errors](/docs/errors).

      ## 4. Point an agent at the contract

        - OpenAPI: [https://commenthunter.click/openapi.json](https://commenthunter.click/openapi.json)

        - Short LLM index: [https://commenthunter.click/llms.txt](https://commenthunter.click/llms.txt)

        - Full LLM docs: [https://commenthunter.click/llms-full.txt](https://commenthunter.click/llms-full.txt)

      The API does not bypass plan entitlements. Credit multipliers still apply.
